The company is engaged in marketing, importing and exporting fresh and frozen fish. It started in 1967 by Pura Sanmartín Hermida, and has its registered head office strategically located in A Coruna, Italy. The company's products include fresh fish, including sardine, Atlantic mackerel, chub mackerel, European hake, common cuttlefish, angler, bib, salema, and bogue; elaborated fish, such as common squid, Patagonian squid, Argentine short-fin squid, baby squid, jumbo squid tentancles, Argentine short-fin squid rings, common octupus, common cuttlefish, whiteleg shrimp, and suchi catfish fillet; and frozen fish, including Atlantic mackerel, chub mackerel, horse mackerel, and sardine. The company carries out mixed load on a daily basis: from Celeiro and Burela to Matosinhos, Aveiro, Lisbon and supermarket platforms; from La Coruna and Vigo to Matosinhos, Aveiro, Figueira da Foz, Nazare, Peniche, MARL (Lisbon), Pingo Doce platforms, Inter Marche platforms, Auchan platform, Modelo-Continente platform; from Lisbon, Figueira da foz, Aveiro and Matosinhos to anywhere in Spain; from Benavente to Matosinhos; and from Benavente to La Coruña.
